Lol. They were cloning absolute shit to begin with. So if anything this is a compliment to devs capability

Lol. Don’t be an idiot, kill two killers instead of one. That’s how count of killers is going down
Da time of heroes is upon us, den
You understand that quite a few things you listed as an advantage of Emacs I see as a disadvantage, don’t you?
Edit: and then they clame systemd is a bloated mess

Lol. I knew you would show yourself as a massive idiot. But this went beyond my expectations

Hey @[email protected] wanna scientifically research and reason this?
True. It works more to my liking, and that’s enough for me

Yay, I am glad for you:)

Yes, exactly the point: first take access to information from most people. Then slowly close the trap more and more tight

In any country. Which is already nudging me in the direction of buying some land and weapons, set up some kind of a farm and let humanity fuck itself however it wants. Big problem though: land and weapons cost way more than I can afford
Huh. Ever seen side effects of depression?
I am still on summer side. But if one happens to want to die and chooses between heat and cold, then cold is the better option

Wait till they pull the “protect kids” card
If it did not mean so much suffering, I would have been laughing my ass out for years now

Well, they are idiots, for “as long as men die, liberty will never perish”. But that doesn’t mean they are harmless, we do need to push back against anything like this, not just allow it to happen because “I can press a few buttons”

Oh. Now I get you. Thank you for bearing with me this long :)
Well… yeah. I would be very hesitant (to say the least) about writing complex code in C, too

Now substitute you with me, let’s say I know and like Ada (it is not true, but does not matter) and there is also “project in Ada” same as “the project is in Rust” from your comment. Then following your logic I could be positive about Canonical trying to substitute core utils with their Ada counterpart
Which I am not going to be, because to me that’s not about programming languages. Which is how we come back to my first comment: “yay, there is a <language name> re-write of some important software” is ok to think as an individual, but it is not (can not be? should not be?) a reason to be glad about what Canonical is doing

Your arguments applies to any language. Hence why not re-write same tools in any of them, right?

Anyone who writes Rust code can read, adapt and make changes to it
Lol. Anyone who writes C code can read, adapt and make changes to it
Anyone who writes Python code can read, adapt and make changes to it
Anyone who writes Ada code can read, adapt and make changes to it
What kind of argument is that?
True that, I am the witness
