I’m using lmde now for it but I’ve had a few headaches and I get harassed by a lot of updates anyway. Getting the Nvidia970 video card to work was a a bit of a pain but it seems to be ok for now. Hosting yams with plex on it now but kinda scared to go much further with immich or an audiobook library until I’m confident I have the right base.

If I want a Linux box that can function as a home server but also fire up Steam and play using my old 970 if I want to, does cachy fit?
OK so this is a legit weakness of mine and it has to do with too many options. Creator aside what makes this distribution interesting and what other flavors resemble it? I’ve been trying for years to find the right flavor for me, I want something I update minimally and when I do update it doesn’t break. I’m using lmde note but I’ve had to wrangle it in and all I’m running on it is steam Nvidia gpu, yams, plex. I want to self host other apps but I’m terrified of the base install becoming unmanageable. I want this server to run games also.
Regardless of the person or their physique, this is the female version of that Marlon Brando sexy eye roll GIF. Fuck me vibes.

What level of brainrot am I at when I criticize the use of the meme? Like, this is not at all how this meme works.

3·4 months agoI been paranoid about hacked games for a while but this seems sad. It likes like there is some sort of safety feature. I guess you can check the validity of the installer and then the hash of the game straight from gog? That feels as legit as the screen can get if so. Wouldn’t mind trying to archive this for historical preservation reasons but I have to find time to get a walkthrough

Thanks for the input and your time. I’m actually using docker for the yams setup and totally forgot that makes the underlying tech fairly irrelevant
