  • Yes that’s true, we see in developed countries where women get education and choice a lot of them decide not to have children. I am from the EU and even here me and my whife feel a lot of pressure from society to have children, it makes me quite angry, cause I am sure a lot of people end up giving into the pressure and having kids cause “It’s the thing to do” and not because they truly want to, I have seen it with my friends, we are all on our 30s. This pressure made me think even more about why would I want to have a kid, I have thought about a lot, and let me tell you, the future doesn’t seem to be favourable, plus, I have a genetic disorder that might get passed down to a kid.

  • I do not wish to make you feel bad, I actually love children and that is one of the reasons why I support what I do. Overpopulation is a real issue, If we want the future generation to have a chance we shouldn’t be having a lot of kids. We are already 8 billions, see the demographics studies, things start to go real bad after we surpass 10 billion humans. Also, think about it, the Right always want us to have more kids, so they can exploit them as they please. If future generations are less numerous, they would have the power to decide who they want to sell their labour to, instead of competing against each other for a minimum wage slave job. See the theory of reserve workers by Marx

  • You are preaching to the priest, I am a socialist and fully support women’s rights. Billionaires shouldn’t exit period. But the fact of the matter is that feeding billions of people takes a toll on our planet, if you truly care about people you should recognize that we have surpassed our limits, 8 billions and counting is not sustainable for our planet, it would only lead to resource depletion and suffering. I know it’s hard to admit, cause there is a strong biological drive on us to have children, but the responsible choice is not to have, it is the more racional and compassionate choice

  • Seems like nuclear power plants leaking would be big news in Europe, we are not living in the Simpsons universe, so I would also like a source on that. I am all up for renewables, but the fear mongering and hate of nuclear energy is not racional, the amount of human deaths caused per TWh of coal is 58 people while nuclear has only killed 0.003 people per the same amount of energy produced, and this isn’t even considering the global warming effects and associated deaths. So yeah renewables are better than nuclear, but nuclear is vaaaaaaaaaaaaaastly better than coal

  • Honestly from someone that has a lot of trouble dealing with the heat I hope people become more aware of how dangerous heat can become. So tired of hearing people complain about the cold like the heat is aways good. I don’t have a heater, in fact I can sleep with the windows open in negative temperatures (celsius) but I NEED an air conditioner in the summer, but people always complain like is some sort of luxury, no is not, I don’t tell people during the winter that heating is a luxury despite the fact that I don’t have any heating
