When they added all those default filters to bluesky for things like violence and hate speech and didn’t add one for politics, I deleted my account. I’m so so so very tired of it. I’m also 100% sick of slacktivists thinking posting their politics on social media does anything other than make other people post their politics on social media.
I understand politics are important. Its just not what I was signing up for. I give it a go because silence is not the answer but again, Im not a political genius I just dont like fascism. Is it so wrong to not want every form of human expression I consume be about the absolute worst people on the planet?
I understand that user moderation is an accepted practice nowadays, but people end up on those blocklists for invalid reasons and I’d prefer a default filter like there is for hate speech.

Extreme views get the most engagement. Especially when people’s lives are affected. That’s why it’s so hard to avoid
There’s plenty of blocklists for politics unless those got deleted recently.

how do i enable those blocklists ?
Find a block list, click ‘Subscribe,’ and then click ‘Block all’ or a similar option.
