That was the entire purpose for which he was selected by the Democratic establishment, to be the normie Biden we all slept to for 50 years. Notably, the 50 years that led us to Trump, but that apparently didn’t seem relevant at the time.
There is a cry for change in this country, and people are frankly not politically savvy enough to know what that change should look like. Neoliberals say “you don’t really want change, here’s some baubles.” and people mumble “OK” and fall back asleep for a while. Fascists have fire and zeal and do offer change, and eventually they catch people’s attention. They don’t know what they are signing up for, but they finally figured out the baubles are shit, so they sign on.
People think Elon is a vissionary because it’s been so long since they have had an actual leader.
As for foreign policy, fair or not, Biden’s foreign policy will ultimately be remembered for just one thing. I’m sure you know what that is.
