Screenshot of a Reddit post about Seelen UI, a desktop environment with a top bar and a bottom dock. The top bar has an app indicator on the left, the date and time in the middle, and system indicators on the right. The dock contains the Start button, pinned apps, and a small multimedia player.
remembering finding stardock and rainmeter for the first time back in 2000
I used Seelen UI for a couple of months before finally switching to Linux, so I can relate 😂 (I yearned for KDE, not Gnome but same energy).
That is a massive headache wallpaper. How do people deal with that?
I unironically have a wallpaper just like that. I love taking screenshots of games I play and putting them on my desktop. Some of them tend to be rather bright, but they get covered by other windows most of the time so they aren’t really a bother.
For that one in particular its the jaggy edge and brightness. I prefer solid black, but haenau or hunyago or nice (very slowly changing shapes with dark colors).
I suppose I too rarely see the background/wallpaper so I guess it wouldnt matter. Particularly since I use a desktop that doesnt allow files or folders to be placed on the desktop.
real talk:
Gnome is the only reason I use Linux.
Foss is nice but it’s more of a Bonus to me.
wait huh?? it’s a twm for windows? i kinda want that (also damn it’s agpl)
why does it have to be webview though
why does it have to be webview though
I mean, Windows 11 is like 90% WebView. The fact you can slow down Windows by spamming the super key to open and close the start menu says it all.
