Yes that’s a very good point. I played with python’s CSV module recently to make some graphs with numpy and it seems pretty good. I’ll check out visidata - at the moment I’m experimenting with the idea that there is always a better option than using excel style spreadsheets. I’m seeing how much I can achieve while never opening excel/calc/gnumeric

Very cool thanks for sharing. I don’t have a CSV viewer app in “Open with…” context menu because I don’t have a file manager…
Last time I had to deal with a large CSV file I think I just used some combination of
sort,wc,cutandgrep. Or I import it to python and use numpy

-vo=tctas mpv will draw to the frame buffer if x server is not available. There’s also fbi and fbpdf for displaying images and pdfs to the frame buffer


You have over 100gb of ram? What do you need so much ram for?
