Interestingly, it’s not about the look of genitalia specifically.
For example, I happen to be a hetero person, yet I appreciate both genitals equally. What matters is how feminine the carrier is. I’ll appreciate a nice dick on a beautiful woman, but on a man…ew. Same with vaginas - if it belongs to a woman, it can be very arousing, but you won’t find trans men in my bedroom.
It’s the same genitals, but their perception is wildly different.

Technology@lemmy.world•Logitech CEO Hanneke Faber wants an AI agent in every board meetingEnglish
5·5 days agoAs AI-skeptical as I often am, is this really problematic? AI taking notes and then sharing them at the end of the meeting, for example, is objectively good.
I know how it works, my problem is that server software is meant to run constantly in the background, and needs to be managed in a specific way, and I specifically don’t want this to happen.
I know I can put self-hosted server behind a VPN, but it’s an entirely different use case.
The rise of self-hosted option comes from the distrust of the Big Tech and the desire to avoid a single point of failure.
Sure, commercial solutions are better hardened, but they are also more likely to be attacked in the first place. And nothing is there to protect you from the prying eyes of those who host it for you, which is a valid threat as well.
Still, one thing better, privacy-wise, than having your own server is to not rely on any servers to begin with.
Quite some people do, so it’s great such options exist.
My own gripe is with self-hosted apps that don’t need a server to begin with.
Why do I have to run a server to manage my bookmarks? Write down recipes? Control available stock? Manage finances?
All that can be done via local-first apps that may then have some backup functionality (or have files in one place so I could sync them). Adding a server layer only adds complexity and forces me to keep it on or toggle every time, affecting performance and battery life.

1·12 days agoFair enough. But then again, we went way too far from the meme :)
Plenty of people could make at least small amounts of electricity given respective resources, if they remember anything from school.
E=mc2 will require a bit more involvement. But it can be worked out.

2·12 days agoSure enough, that would help to make it much better and more reliable, but overall, this is really all you need. Centrifuge that thing, try not to die, and you’ll have a basic nuclear fuel.
Now, to make a good nuclear fuel in large quantity, let alone make weapon-grade uranium most folks are actually concerned about, you need a much better machinery, and this is what three-letter agencies are on the lookout for.
To put into perspective how easy it is to start a “just to make a point” nuclear fission if you have uranium available: there are signs that some natural uranium deposits effectively served as nuclear reactors, generating up to 100kW of heat.

1·12 days agoCan use these, but they may be harder to come across, and don’t have too strong magnetic properties. You’ll need something better if you want to make a decent generator.
Will do for a compass, though.

3·12 days agoTrue
But no one said it would be easy. We have all this machinery refined over the centuries for a reason, but doing rough models first would help jumpstart entire industries that would help recreate the rest much faster and without jumping through the hoops.

I like women, hence, I’m hetero. Shouldn’t be too hard.
Now, you can make categories of dick lovers and vagina appreciators, but “hetero”, just as “homo” and the rest, refers to gender attraction, not genitals. No need to gatekeep that.
I have no objection being called queer, but definitionally I’m just not.
