This community is not for rants, shower thoughts, ask lemmy type questions, unpopular opinions, etc. Please read the rules before commenting. I am going to lock this for now. If you would like to talk about specific instances of your comments or posts being removed or being banned, along with screenshots of your modlog, then that would be more acceptable.
Alright I am going to give you advice then so this doesn’t go wildly off topic. You can ask questions, but don’t make assertive statements if you do not know about the subject and are still learning. Don’t assume people will like you for being a centrist, especially in the context of the US which does not have a leftist major party (thus you are sitting more towards right wing by being a centrist). When it comes to things like charlie kirk, you need a tougher backbone, don’t be afraid to tell people your opinion while still keeping things in context (don’t tell people not to be happy about someone’s death when that person contributed to the suffering of many people which most likely includes the person you are talking to). But if it is about something more complex involving a long history like Palestine, you need to research yourself and listen to others trying to help you. Not everyone wants to hold an internet stranger’s hand through this stuff. For instance, I do not want to explain the entire history of Palestine to you.
Also, please attach screenshots of your modlogs. Both your hexbear and current account since those are the accounts you are complaining about hexbear banning you over.
About which topic? For Palestine, you can web search about how Israel was founded. Which included forcibly relocating and occupying the land. For Charlie Kirk, you’re going to need some empathy that I can’t help you with since he was encouraging people to hate LGBT folks.
You got banned for trying to be a “centrist” too much. It’s not just being a “fence sitter” about charlie kirk, but also about Palestine. I cringed. Your comments weren’t misunderstood, I think you were either uneducated about the severity of the war or trolling. Hexbear can be wrong, but this time around they were tired of holding your hand. It’s also considered bad form to continue engaging with a community that has already banned you, seriously. This is why modlogs are required btw.
