Unfortunately necessities and commodities getting more expensive doesn’t mean anything to the elites. Tarrifs and increased cost of living significantly disproportionately affects poors and working class people. For a rich person, fridges doubling in price is still a cheap purchase. For a poor person that needs a fridge and could hardly afford one before price doubled, they certainly can’t afford one now. Once again the poors carry society on their shoulders. Gas went up? U think rich people even notice? Hell no. But us working people now have to decide between eating lunch on Saturday and driving to work next week.

A societal change against commuting for work would help too. I have a half hour commute now which is kind of as good as it gets around here unless u work on the same town but I used to drive. A hour one way for work every day. I know people that drove more than that on a daily basis!

Has always been this way. Back in the late 70/early 80s, Harley couldn’t compete with the Japanese bikes so they lobbied to daddy fed to make sure all the foreign bikes got tarriffed out of existence over 700cc. So the Japanese said “hold my soju” and made 699cc motorcycles that still made more power than the gargantuan Harley bikes of the time. USA has always tried to give US based companies a leg up over objectively superior products. Our tax dollars are why there are any American car companies left, sure Ford didn’t get a direct bail out but we use them for police and other service vehicles across the country which has helped keep them afloat. Plus obviously Chrysler and GM taking govt bailouts and still flailing desperately while making trash vehicles and wondering why they don’t sell. The American auto industry doesn’t struggle to keep pace, it has NEVER caught up to or even compared to the rest of the world. They have always been 30+ years behind any European or Asian vehicle.

You sensor id needs to be tied to the car somehow for it to be remotely useful, never mind the atrocious reception of them in the first place it’s just a non issue. And if u reprogram sensor ids, how will it know what vehicle just went by its radar? It would also need a camera to tie the plate or something else which means your already being surveyed. The concern that ur TPMS is going to be used to track you is just so idiotic I cannot fathom the stupidity of telling people to go out and remove their pressure sensors. Hopefully u don’t own any vehicle made after 2002 cuz good Lord when you find out about key transponders and radio frequency security keys ! Good luck deleting your immobilizer 😂😂😂

USBC aux cords are the least reliable cables I’ve ever seen on the market and their adapters are just as shitty. U know what works? Every single time? Aux port.

I used to bike or skateboard everywhere when I was that age, why do people think this isn’t possible in the USA? I drive almost everywhere now (why would I pedal when I can twist a throttle? 😉) but still regularly see middle school kids walking or biking around town. An expat is not an immigrant. An immigrant emigrates to a different country, like my mother who was born in Venezuela but earned her citizenship in the USA. An expat is somebody who moves to another country for work temporarily, and does NOT emigrate. Think of immigration as permanent and expat as temporary (think work visa for a few years then back home, or transfered somewhere else)

Even if I add shipping costs, Amazon is typically more expensive. I order my car parts from rock auto and have NEVER found Amazon to be cheaper even after adding shipping costs. They were cheap maybe a decade ago when they were trying to fold everybody else but they got enough fools by the short and curlies to start jacking prices up until people start looking elsewhere. Same formula as Wal Mart, it’s a proven good practice for big corps to kill local and small businesses.

Diesel fumes get a really bad wrap because you can see black smoke on old or deleted rigs. In terms of work produced diesels had to beat and will never be replaced. Gas cars produce far more co and CO2 than any diesel, which is bad for environment. Diesels produce more NOx fumes and soot, which is worse for human health than it is for the environment. (Not that it isn’t bad for environment ) Overall diesels just more energy dense and you don’t need near as much to produce the same work as a gas job, and electric will NEVER replace diesel in container boats or semi trucks for goods transport. Do not mistake this as me saying we should all drive old diesel rigs! Just saying for moving large mass it’s pretty impossible to replace with today’s or tomorrow’s tech, and the idea that diesels are dirty and bad is simply wrong.

According to USDA 37% of SNAP receipts are white and tend to be in red states so one could make an assumption or two. Of course hard to say for sure without voter data, so impossible to prove any of my incoherent ramblings. Take with grain of salt
