51·3 days agoI am being the change. No kids. Electric vehicle. Don’t eat beef. Actively post about climate change. Promote solar/nuclear power. We can’t go back to monke, we must move forward.

News@lemmy.world•Trump fires all commissioners of federal election agency
15·3 days agoDrump is one of the most hated presidents in US history, seriously none of this will work out in the favor of the Republican party. Fuel shortages start soon, all thanks to Trump’s economy.

101·13 days agoWhy are they comparing an electric truck to a combustion truck? Out of all the things you could compare the Slate to, why this?
Much better to compare would be the Chery Rely R08 EV

News@lemmy.world•Americans' pride in US history and democracy drops, and fewer are proud to be American, polls find
4·14 days agoI’ve never been proud to be a US citizen. Pride is something that should only be towards something that you achieved. I think the USA has missed a lot of opportunities to become more powerful because of individualistic greed and lowering taxes on corporations.
Explain what? I still remember what they did January 6th 2021 at the capitol.
I hosted Qwen 3.5 9b uncensored on my site at https://masland.tech/ for a while. I didn’t really use it and no one else used it so I took it down. These days I’m spending most of my time finding uses for AI and accessibility. One of the next things I’m planning is a video to text reasoning system, primarily for the purpose of grading used electronic devices.

politics @lemmy.world•US AI stock sell-off shakes markets from Wall Street to Asia
2·20 days agoIn a “free market” it would be a worrying sign that the government can just tell one of the highest valued corporations “nope, we’re not permitting you to do that, your entire business model is dictated by us”. But we don’t have a free market, and the stock market doesn’t represent the reality of the situation, just like how valuations of AI companies keep going up even though something like GLM-5.2 exists. I think investors are probably just dumb, and we’re in a bubble.

politics @lemmy.world•US AI stock sell-off shakes markets from Wall Street to Asia
7·20 days agoThe fact that there wasn’t a bigger sell off when they banned Fable 5 is ridiculous. The stock market doesn’t represent real conditions at all.
