I started watching Salem Techsperts on youtube recently. He sarcastically calls himself the greatest technician that’s ever lived, and calls himself stupid a lot.
I think part of this sentiment is probably because working on “mechanical”/“logical” things requires you to observe events, notice what is happening, measure or react to them in a calm and sensical manner and resolve issues by repeating this process over and over again. You lay the foundations of this by having previous experiences in the domain.
So, when you mess something up, it does feel like you are an idiot, because the process feels like an obvious thing that anyone should be able to do. However, many people fail one of the previous steps I listed.
That was me today. IDK what it is other than bad sleep but everything just set me off today. Plus all the random crap that happened like accidents on the way to work and internet issues at work and and and…

Isn’t it fun and I see how historical writings show us we aren’t really all that different? And yes I’m there often.
I do really enjoy seeing things like that, like when I thought I was young and people were all original…nope we’re rarely original, be all who you are even if it’s been done. Go Darwin being all melancholy for something preserved. Maybe a bit goth too.
Also enjoy the Pompeii graffiti to show us bathroom stall writings aren’t original.
I remember writing something similar, though that was after drinking a significant amount of DXM.
