    Trump is an idiot, and part of that is him insisting on decreasing the “trade deficit.” It isn’t exactly a bad thing. I don’t complain when I leave the grocery store with a trade deficit, for example. Getting more goods than you send out isn’t exactly the worst thing.

      Knowing very little of the economy, it seems bad on a long-term scale. If you don’t produce anything, you’re reliant on donations or tourism. Heh, good thing the orange buffoon loves people from other countries, right?

        Trade Deficit can show that you are a rich country that can afford to buy things rather than make them at home. So its not bad in its own right, but USA shipping all manufacturing to Medico and China to maximize medium term profit was the mistake. Now normal citizens couldn’t afford made in America stuff if the manufacturing came back.
