You can set your horn in Forza Horizon 5 and 6 to be this during multiplayer races, and you can honk it and see in real-time as you cause other racers’ brains to instantly freak out.

    Devious that they added it.

Related: did you know that the Outlook calendar notification sound is based on one of the developer’s kids singing “time to get up!” to them in the morning.

To be clear: I don’t condone violence towards children, but if a kid did that to me it would trigger my fight-or-flight response.

PSA: Never, NEVER, use your favourite song or sound as your ringtone or message sound, especially if your employer has your phone number. It destroyed “Bob Marley-Three Little Birds” and that “Metal Gear - you’ve been discovered” for me.

Anyone who calls me on teams can send me an email like a civilized fucking human and I’ll respond when I’m good and ready.

    Or a teams message.

    But I’m not a savage answering a telephone like it’s 1965.

Phone alarms too, especially when the character takes a long time to wake up to turn it off.

Also, sirens on songs when listening in the car.

I’ve probably done something correctly in my life since I can’t say I even know what that sounds like. I think I’ve done one video call ever when I was getting my permit for hot work. I don’t remember what app I used for that.

Pavlovian priming at its finest. “Heckssake who’s calling me at… eight PM, never mind, must be the TV then”
