Offering screening for neurodivergence to people detained by the police could help ensure access to appropriate support and fairer treatment in the criminal justice system, say Cambridge researchers. A study from the team suggests that one in two individuals arrested and detained in London may have undiagnosed attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and one in 20 may have undiagnosed autism.
I hope this doesn’t get twiated into a way to make ADHD somehow a sign of propensity for criminal behavior. People suck.

Always wondered how ADHDer could survive in London with all the fucking licenses they would need to maintain
Yes, the level of my distraction IS kind of criminal today. 😐
Half…so not an unreasonable amount, especially given how many undiagnosed people are in the world skewing statistics. People acting like ADHD is some kinda of rare maladie when it seems to be super common, genetic, and some theories even suggest that it’s our evolutionary default(came before whatever this “neurotypical” modification is).
Half of people
arrested in Londonmay have undiagnosed ADHD, study findsFTFY.
