10 days agoMB would be a swing state that leans left, SK would be 55:45 R, AB would be 70:30 R, ON would be a bellwether swing state like NY was for centuries. QC, the coastals, and the Arctics would be blue states.

When I was growing up too many people I knew wanted to move to Japan because of the technology sectors and the “modernity”. Turns out both are a lie, and after learning about Japanese work culture, it’s even worse than the USA. I can’t imagine why anyone would choose to work in Japan over an EU country outside of family reasons.

For context, we don’t have a single state that is 80:20 R. WV/WY are the closest we have, and even then it’s basically 70:30.
