Oh the people are doing just fine. It’s the people they elected who are doing fuck-all and I’m tired of them letting the federal government tread on their constituents.

Both parties pretend that law enforcement is under democratic control. It is not.

There are options.

Which, if anything, is evidence the police should have been fired and the whole system retooled a long time ago.

I’ll stop beating around the bush and just say it: I know why dems won’t stand up to MAGA no matter what ICE does to their constituents. It’s because they’re as greedy and authoritarian as the rest, just wearing a mask of civility and wielding softer power. They’re letting it happen because they will find a way to enrich themselves regardless.

ICE didn’t teleport into the state. They’re not all standing in the same place at the same time. There are options. I mean, other than flopping on the floor and going “NOOOOO” like Stewart on Mad TV.

I got news for ya: the martial law and brutal oppression of all American people is inevitable if MAGA isn’t stopped. It’s not a matter of them only doing it if we get out of hand. Every day is another step they take toward the goal of total subjugation.

When is one of these state governors going to just straight up say “what ICE is doing is illegal and unconstitutional. we won’t let you do this. leave now or be shot on sight by real law enforcement”? Just going “nooo, please don’t do thiiiiis” while armed masked thugs kill people in your streets isn’t doing shit to people who don’t care about the law and think they’ll always be in power.

ICE is shooting people and kidnapping children in broad daylight. What good is pride in memes? This high road shit is wearing so thin that Ned Flanders would go skiing in it.

Your friends are still here, but they’re not in charge. Violent, armed bullies have taken over and are driving this country - with the rest of us in it - off a cliff. They aren’t just invading Greenland, they’re invading us. Our homes, our schools, our workplaces, our courts, all invaded. The authorities we armed and entrusted to uphold the law have seen their opportunity to go mask-off and support fascism. Your friends here are outclassed, outgunned, and oppressed.

Remember that America isn’t a monolith. If you were to put a bullet in the head of every US soldier to set foot on Greenland, we will celebrate your victory. Right. And it’s not like I’m doing nothing about it. I’m not a fighter, I’m a healer. I’m staying in school, enduring a shitty situation in a shitty country so that when the survivors turn up traumatized, I will be there to help them recover. Meanwhile I do what I can to arm my fellow Americans with knowledge of psychological theory - the biases and weaknesses of the human mind, how corporations and governments exploit this knowledge to empower themselves against us, and how we can strengthen our minds to resist them. That’s what I’m about, and I’m not going to let a diaper-shitting pedophile and his plans for world domination turn me into something I’m not.

I think it’s really awful that you’re telling Americans to either get themselves killed by the tyrant or be treated as supporters of the tyrant. Just awful.

Sorry , what I mean to say is you’re making a ridiculous claim that’s untrue on its face, and for me to believe something like that I’d need to see some actual scientific research, not essay articles made for consumption in “popular media”. I’m anti-capitalist, but capitalism is a symptom of a problem that has existed since civilization began.
