I don’t know why you would need a clock if you’re trapped in your house. Maybe if you have to take pills at a specific time but usually you can be off by an hour or two which I can tell simply by looking outside and sensing time internally.

Hey I’ll have you know as an American our kindergartens are run terribly as well, at least in poor school districts.

Why aren’t they supposed to be the moral pulse? I’m not saying they necessarily are but I think in order to be funny you need to empathize with others.
