Unless im misunderstanding, then starting over may be better for you. A friend at the bare minimum should make you feel heard seen and understood at least most of the time with them.
I had a similar issue. I felt undervalued and misunderstood at work and with friends. I would end up feeling my saddest and most alone with those friends.
Starting over can seem daunting especially with how are it can be for folks like us to make new ones. But it may well be worth it for you like it was for me. Idk if that’s helpful stranger. I use them mostly for helping me write emails or meal prepping tbh lol. I’ve used deep seek to help me with python before but if you’re not just dicking around like me you’d definitely want something more powerful.
For image generation it sounds like this tool called comfy UI is the way to go. I have it running in docker but haven’t set anything up inside it yet.
It’s pretty neat, I really set this up to help keep my data out of the hands of the corps and the feds lol.

I got an old machine off eBay(see pic) I only run models that are 8b parameters or less.
I got Ubuntu server on it. Then docker running in that. In docker I have olama, open web UI, jellyfin and a game sever. No issues running any of that.
Edit: if you want something that can run better LLMs I recommend more RAM and a better GPU

I think the versions of deepseek you can get from olama are FOSS. I have that running on my homelab and can access it with open webui. Are you looking for something like that? I could link some stuff.

No I wasn’t I’m 30 (born in 1995). My awareness of this event for most of my life was just the picture of the guy in front of the tank. Once I saw the video of what happens next I spent a day searching for videos of violence or anything more concrete but whether it’s through censorship, my incompetence, or it not existing : I couldn’t find it🤷
That’s why I’m asking you. I want to know if I missed something because I want to be on the right side of this. I was raised an evangelical far right Republican whose family votes for trump and now I’m an atheist and a socialist. All that to say I do try to change my mind when it makes sense.

I’m very aware there is censorship and propaganda at play but I know the US is playing that game in addition to China so I really don’t know what level of government force was used there.
The tank picture and the way it’s framed over here have me leaning towards the idea that there is no real evidence of a massacre. Maybe that’s China censorship or maybe it didn’t happen but if you got something I can look at and know more i’d appreciate you sharing it. 🙂
That being said without something like that the comparison feels unfair since we don’t know if tank man received any repercussions for not complying. 🤷 We’re as ice is just murdering civilians in the street in the USA.
