Too big to fail!

Too big to fail!

Oh boy, its going to fuck us especially hard.
Tax payers paid for 2008, their going to indebt our kids once again.
Food, shelter, health care, education are provided for all, regardless of contribution or ability to contribute.
I’m not sure how to pay for that, how to deal with metric gaming, or people who dont want the above. Also how to deal with externalities like climate change or conflicts… But I can dream!
This is a two for one deal then

Software (app store), significant portion made in usa.
Also more important: significant portion of the money goes to USA excelutives.
I types this on a google phone, I’m in the same boat.
Edit: oof, English is my first language I swear…

Yes murder is bad.
It also seems like the only message the owners receive.

It IS a breach of privacy.
Few people who use these apps expect to be surveiled. That may make them ignorant, but that doesn’t change that this is a breach of their privacy.

We did not have this problem 20ish years ago, aligned headlights can be bright and not aimed at your eyes. I’d be nice to have this also but could we just get some enforcement on the alignment.

Brightness is obviously an issue … Id be happy with them pointed at the fucking road, there is nothing at other drivers eye level you need to see
Looking in my area FR-S’ seem about the same price, gr86’s seemed a bit more pricey. I considered them all equal when i was looking (at the time i was looking at wrx’s or miata’s also). Really enjoy driving this this car so far only downside is more expensive gas, and the paint which seems to chip super easy.
15k cad, and 26k km for my very serious brz (also 13 years old). I also had the same lack of evs in my price range (not even including fun ones).

“a” has a name: regulatory capture.
Regulators have in the past fulfilled their role, they’ve just been hamstrung.

Companies have reversed unpopular decisions in the past (just saw a thing about Facebook reversing some AI thing). So there may be some possible chance of them reversing this decision. I’m not hopeful but the cost is cheap, and it has a better chance of success than doing nothing

That is rad. My father started with solar domestic hot water heating, then got some PV solar, never bothered with batteries (it was at a time when batteries kind of sucked). Did ok for our northern latitudes. Power company didn’t encourage it though which makes it feel like a bit of an uphill battle. I’m thinking of doing my own house but again, it seems like you’ve got to be the expert if you want to make it work, and power companies aren’t happy to have your contributions.
I guess I just get a bit - understanding when people say they are scared of nuclear. I do realize that in aggregate fossile has been way worse than nuclear.

Must solve all problems at the same time for entire country, can’t possibly wind things down while building up alternatives. Only good solution is nuclear, ignore all previous nuclear issues, they were one offs that only happened because people were stupid. We now smart humans will never have stupid or corrupt people.
Really I don’t even dislike nuclear, some people treat it as the only option when there are clearly alternatives, and solar and batteries appears to be one.

Wait till they find out about batteries!

Common dude, don’t support elon
I don’t actually care, but when I have in the past (around 2006 era) it “just worked”, while other distros i was using required more hand holding (gentoo, redhat, slackware). I suspect most distros are just fine now a days (using debian now and it seems just fine).
I am not currently using it but it’s always been fine whenever I have. What’s broken?
Over 55 isn’t babyboomers anymore that’s gen x.
I think this kind of data is exactly what you’d expect to see in a somewhat equal society: you work your whole life, saving, of course you’ve got more savings then people who haven’t been working their whole lives.
Really I suspect averaging here is skewing your perception, that 70% can hide a few super wealthy and many more poor (which is what you’d expect given 1% of the population own more than the combined bottom 95% ).
