12·1 day agoCome back when you’ve read the entirety of the comment you originally responded to.
Unless you live on or near a dairy farm, you should probably stay away from it, especially if payment is expected.
Also, you’re ok with ingesting feces as long as it’s pasteurized?

911·1 day agoI’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Raw milk is fine in theory. Improper storage isn’t.
Unless you live on or near a dairy farm, you should probably stay away from it, especially if payment is expected.
Source: grew up on day fresh raw milk and after I moved out, milk never tasted as good.
And just to clarify: there are two ways of properly storing raw milk:
- In an actively cooled tank with automatic stirring. Said tank is emptied an cleaned with acidic and caustic agents every day
- In a healthy cow
I refuse to call it “SI” because there’s no “I” involved. Same goes for “AI” for that matter. It’s a fancy autocomplete, so LLM is appropriate.
A coworker of mine from Brazil was visiting another coworker of mine in Sweden. I saw the screenshot of the snap he sent while on the train:
“Yeah, of course this is where you live…”. Pictured was a photo of the train information sign saying “StopName (slutstation)”.I’ll leave it as an exercise for the (non-scandinavian) readers to interpret what “Slutstation” actually means.

News@lemmy.world•TSA to prohibit airport security officers from sitting down while checking travelers’ IDsEnglish
9·8 days agoTSA are as alert as their paycheck dictates. I told both TSA and CBP that I was attending a meeting for three weeks, so my tourist visa was fine. It was an obvious lie, and they obviously didn’t care. (It was before I got my C1/D).
“Business and meetings” is the magic phrase for when you haven’t gotten around to sorting out a work visa before hand. Take away their chair or any other source of work place comfort, and chances are they’ll care even less.
A clown with bangs… how do you like my haircut? And does this nose make my nose look big?
Sounds like something shoutcast can do.
Remember the time before apple acted as if they invented audio streaming and built a walled garden of podcasts? We had shoutcasts long before podcasts.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Renting Servers: Criticisms and Recommendations?English
5·15 days agoWhen I need to run something that I can’t or won’t run at home, I usually spin up a machine at Hetzner. Cheap, reliable, and setup is fast. The server auction can give you a pretty nice hardware stack at a low cost, and you can cancel at any time.
However, the cases were I use hosting providers are becoming fewer and fewer, as I’m in the final stages of rebuilding my “homelab” the way I want it. If only those UPS batteries could arrive soon…
