More seriously, like how a metric cup is 250mL (15mL tablespoon) I agree that a metric gallon would be 4L. In fact, in my neck of the woods “a gallon of milk” is in fact 4L.

In this case though I think you’re right that there’s a strong superiority aspect.

For those curious why this happens: this building has no diagonal bracing to prevent racking, so over time it can sag and lean more and more as the wood weathers and nails loosen.

Installing the exterior boards at an angle would’ve helped, but usually results in more waste and labour so if you’re a poor farmer with limited supplies you just install them horizontal and it’ll probably last as long as you need it to anyways. Braces on the inside can be annoying to deal with if the building is used to store grain, but a viable option otherwise.

Side note: I hate it when people just put $1234 as a price online. It clutters up search results and I’m not interested in having to make first contact just to establish if we have the same price range in mind. Figure out a real number or don’t post at all.
