I got tricked too. Knew it would happen eventually. Even if theyre not perfect im not thoroughly analyzing every 5 seconds long funny video. I hate this timeline.

damn this is the first time I got genuinely tricked by an ai video.

That you know of*. As someone who works with AI alot (including my own local models), I see AI stuff pretty much every day. It’s getting quite hard to spot it even with trained eye, I’m not sure how things will be in another 2 years.

AI slop is getting shockingly accurate.

I hope it’ll destroy our climate really quikckly so big AI won’t be able to make it accurately reflect reality!!

It doesn’t stand even close to real co2 producers. Realistically it will have insignifact effect. Think about the power your car uses to move your ass to work and back, and then think about the power usage of a GPU, and not even personal cars take the lead.

Last I checked, data centers barely made to the table of things accelerating climate change.

I mean, think about the GPU usage hours for when you’re gaming. Realistically gamers consume far more electricity, but I don’t think anyone is saying gamers cause climate change.

Woe will be the day when humans can no longer determine whether a video is AI or not, even after careful analysis. I wouldn’t have caught this one either but if given the fact that it is suspected of AI, it isn’t hard to prove it. The timestamp in the top left corner is off. 22-13-43-21 is a nonsensical date and the time jumps from 23:15:07 to 23:15:98 then 23:15:59 then 23:15:54

Guys, this is getting really close—let’s go! Except we’re not in this picture; those are Sam Altman and Jeff Bezos after a skin‑replacement procedure and gender transition to a woman.

For all the poor, we’re getting turned into fucking human cubes mushed with fast‑fashion clothes.

Ugh… it could be because I’m a bit groggy but nothing about the video seemed off to me right away. I didn’t even notice the blurred watermark. After looking closely, the Halloween animatronic has 6 fingers on one hand, the area of the animatronic behind the table looks very flatly colored, and the progression of the timer in the top left is not sensical.

Those who did right away notice the video was AI, what stood out to you? I feel like we may need teams of people pointing out suspicious aspects of internet content in the future, but at the efficiency that AI content is generated we might just end up finding ourselves automating the detection process with AI scanners trained to analyze for AI content.

Oh yeah I definitely didn’t expect any automated AI detection system to be as accurate as a trained human, but I expect corporations to replace the trained humans in the long run to save money and increase rate of output at the great expense of the quality of the output. To get correct results, we’d need a platoon of Captain Disillusions, not just some Joe Schmoe or Robo Joe Schmoe.

To be me it was the way the possum jumped. They don’t cartoonishly move their limbs like that, but jump similarly to an Armadillo.

… But not everyone has seen a real one jump to be fair.

Rather impressive how well made the video looks at first glance. Only the timestamp reveals its artificial, but I’m sure enough plays and sleuthing you’ll see other minor details.

there’s a guy on Instagram that specializes in calling out AI videos, they’re usually passable on first glance but not like surprising. This one is an outliar because it’s SO REAL looking. Normally a video is in the daytime so you can see far away stuff shifting around “sora noise” is what he calls it

As long as you don’t interact with the video in any way, because using the like/dislike button and leaving comments of any kind are considered to be engagement and only cause the algorithm to recommend it all the more.

There is a group of idiots that will down vote anything related to AI without thought, then bitch and moan in the comments about it on top of it.

If you want people to properly tag their stuff, they need to think it’s not going to get down voted and harrassed just because of the tag. I tag mine anyways (I don’t really post much tbh) but I understand why people don’t.

The knee jerk reaction of certain members of this community is encouraging hidding the fact that it is AI.

Also, if you like something but change your mind just because you learned it was made the “bad” way, when it’s only stupid memes and quirky videos, you are a tool.

I mean, you are able to type on the keyboard but I doubt that means you want to sit there thinking of jokes to type out all the time. And even if you loved posting written jokes, you would still probably enjoy reading the jokes of others and upvoting them.

Or, and hear me out, maybe just stop posting AI content cause clearly people don’t want it, or get over the criticism. People are going to react the way you dont like because many people, myself included, find it unethical. Like yeah, if I see something and like it, but find out it was made in a way I find unethical I am going to think lesser of it. Its called following your own principles. Like if I watch a youtuber and like their content, but then find out they plagiarized it, I am not going to like that youtuber anymore. They did something I find ethically immoral and I am not going to support it.

That’s completely fine until you start brigading and going in the comments and bitching every single time.

There are certain things I don’t really like seeing much of. Because I’m a mature person, I simply block the subs and the user’s that post it out of those subs.

It’s also not genocide, it’s not unethical for everyone. Some of us have opinions that are more complex then regurgitating what copyright companies told us to think. For example, stuff like reposting is way more unethical but you aren’t actually thinking, grow up.

Hence why I’m saying people aren’t going to tell you it’s AI and will even go out of their way to trick you. Because of the prevalent attitude towards it, it’s become a waiting game to see how many months it takes before it’s just stupidly hard to tell if it’s AI or not.

This is just the new “digital art isn’t real art!” I remember that back in the 90s. It’ll blow over in a few years and these dorks will pretend they weren’t cringe about it.
