Good job fitting in with everyone else. Mission accomplished.

What do we do about the guns already there?
Are you seriously trying to argue that if it wasn’t for the US supplying them, then the cartels wouldn’t have firearms? Please answer yes or no so anyone with a brain knows how seriously you should be taken.

Well, you’d be wrong about that.
The cartels are harming Mexico, and we should be helping to protect innocent Mexicans because that’s the decent thing to do.
You guys are clearly too far gone and are just trying to fit in with each other. It’s pretty disgusting and sad, but I’m glad I’ve learned not to take you people seriously on anything.

And everyone on lemmy thinks the US shouldn’t intervene to stop the cartels.
Lol.

No, not just like Iraq.

Maybe if he follows through on this then we can see if your prediction is correct.

This is like everyone with reddit-brain trying to fit in with each other, even if it means defending cartels.

Myanmar has been going through civil wars ever since its inception.
I doubt the people fighting in them now have any idea what they’re fighting for beyond escalating previous escalations.

I’m going to hate the state of Israel for the rest of my life.

I can tell none of you have an answer.

The useful idiots are already gearing up to run him in 2028.
We’re fucked.

Mexico could legalize drugs, but the cartels might have a problem with that unless they can find some way to maintain their power.
I don’t even think weed is legal there for recreational use, which is kind of baffling because it’s legal in places of the United States.

That’s cool.
What else do you think should be done to get rid of the cartels?

This is good. Mexico needs help dealing with its cartels.
Right now, anyone in the Mexican government who stands up to the cartels ends up putting themselves and their families at grave risk. Most of them have already been killed in a gruesome manner years ago, which is why none of them make it a priority now.
Here’s hoping that giving our assistance will make it so cartels cannot threaten the Mexican people ever again.
Edit: “The Mexican Bukele,” a mayor who stood up against the cartels was just killed in front of a crowd of people while under police protection: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/nov/02/mexican-mayor-killed-during-day-of-the-dead-celebrations
All the downvoters should really ask themselves if they’re thinking about the subject, or just trying to fit in with their peers. I know what I’ll put my money on, but I don’t think most of you are capable of admitting when you’re wrong if it goes against the crowd.

I mean, a lot of it is to avoid an actual meltdown in society because stopping food benefits without any kind of transition plan for those relying on them will seriously upset the balance.
We don’t like to admit it, but our rulers have learned from revolutions of the past. They know if they squeeze us too hard, they’ll be ousted before the next election cycle.

I guess rules don’t matter? We get censored if enough people disagree with us?
Good to know.

Has literally nothing to do with brown people, you’re just trying to fit in.
Mexico has a cartel problem and they can’t handle it themselves. This is a fact, no matter how much you don’t like it or your internet friends don’t understand it.
Part of the grift is passing a bunch of money around at the top.
The ‘people in charge’ don’t even want us poors to know it’s possible to host things without the cloud, let alone how much easier and cheaper it is.
