An NBC News analysis of one month of Musk’s social media posts shows what’s been on his mind, including a broad cross-section of fringe political topics.

In recent weeks, the world’s wealthiest person used X to post about immigrants to Britain, saying they will cause the country’s collapse. He posted about examples of violent crime in Minnesota and South Carolina — where he does not live — and about judges in California and New York he believes are too lenient. Musk also smeared trans people, complained about Black-on-white crime, stoked fear about the end of civilization and shared his thoughts about the race of child actors.

Musk posted about all those topics and more in a recent one-month period, during which NBC News tracked and analyzed all of his posts for an in-depth look at where the tech billionaire focuses his attention online.

He better be careful. He’s gonna make us hate fringe politics even more than that “truck” he shills.

As long as influential and popular people stay on the Xitter, under excuses,eg. ‘fighting back’ or ‘lack of alternatives’ , it will maintain to draw eyeballs and therefore $$$, and will keep the Ketamine Klown very relevant through his control of the disinformation machine.

They can’t. It’s a drug. They’re addicted to the discourse, the absurdity, the spectacle of it all and lack the ability to admit it. That’s social media as a whole including niche platforms like ours, but the lack of a purposeful algorithm driving engagement and increasing revenue is our “saving grace”.

This is why I judge people who are into reality tv. You’re allowed to enjoy lowbrow drama, but it does tinge your worldview and your cadence. It’s hard not to allow it to have some small influence on you. It makes you a smidge more catty or delusional.

Equally, when you check twitter, the argumentative nature of the app imbues itself into you. You become more prone toward short-form, bludgeoning communication.

Relatedly, what do you think lemmy’s thing is?

Honestly Lemmy is a bit too scattershot in its nature to really give it something defined, I guess it’s a bit like Tumblr. A mix of memes, shitposts, and five paragraph long rants about whatever the fuck is currently being discussed also the Linux and fifty two flavors of leftists.

So basically the horrid love child of Reddit, 4chan, and Tumblr which given the apparent user base is probably rather literal. The real old bastard originate from IRC boards, YTMND, and Something Awful.

This dude, a private citizen, comes in with a squad of unknown teenagers and hijacks a shitload of government programs and data then flies away, wants to share conspiracy theories? Are you for real man?

Musk left his role in the second Trump administration in May to focus on his companies,…

Yeah this is misinformation. He left the administration because he was beat up for being up Trump’s ass a few too many times

“That’s a good question! While Elon would seem to be the best choice due to his history of extreme right-wing comments, Mussolini has the added benefit of being dead, so he would be the best.”

Mussolini was the OG strongman, blazing a trail for visionaries the world over to take back the destiny of mankind. Head to head with Elon Musk, the dead fascist just doesn’t come close: as a CEO Musk revolutionized the global automobile industry, controls communications at global scale, and most importantly, Musk is the master of space, putting rocket after rocket in orbit. Libro e razzo — fascista perfetto!

When you think about it, Elon Musk’s behavior is quite similar to that of a stereotypical lifelong stripper. He not so silently struggles with daddy issues, which drive him to seek attention from strangers and drugs. This behavior has led him to purchase the largest social strip club on the internet, Twitter, so that he can perform for us. In essence, his mental scars are on display, much like an older stripper showing off her numerous c-section scars.

This belittles sex workers more than it describes Musk. Just because they’re naked doesn’t make their work any less demeaning than rotting behind a desk waiting to have your retirement stolen.
