if you are ineligible to be president you cannot be “in line” to be president such as a vp.

Why wouldn’t he be eligible? The wording of your amendment specifically says “shall not be elected” clearly that means that becoming president by other means is fine, otherwise it would have said “may not serve as president” or just may not be president.

No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once.

because one, if elected as vp, and needing to become p is, by some odd logic considered “elected.”

        it’s why voting is important.

But it doesn’t say he can’t be elected as vice president, only he can’t be elected president. By being elected as VP he’s not being elected president.

You’ve just said it can’t happen, not explained what would actually stop it happening.

i reckon it’s not as black and white as i portrayed it to be earlier because, it makes sense to me that someone who is not elig to be pres through voting cannot therefore be vp through the same channels of voting.

            there is debate.

i hold however hope that it will get shut down and become moot anyway.
