  • Night before and morning of are the worst of the anxiety, and yes it’s normal.

I’ve had my fair share of procedures and even though I’ve learned to focus on the after (feeling better, having better function) that doesn’t stop the jitters from kicking in. This, too, shall pass and it’s all part of the process.

Good luck on your procedure and may you have a speedy recovery. You’ve got this!

  • If you’re banned from an instance, it’s probably a good idea to stop interacting with them altogether since it’s been made clear you and the instance don’t exactly align.

In all corners of the internet you’re going to get, uh, enthusiastic individuals who feel quite strongly about their online experiences and activities and act accordingly. That’s kind of a given side effect by now, as seen with moderators of all sorts of sites.

The great thing about the fediverse is that it’s decentralized, so you’re not excluded from participating in communities altogether :) /gen

We believe in the logical fallacies of “most people read” and “facts hold more weight than emotional appeals.”

Gotta strike a balance and get better sound bites/propaganda material to get more people on board with their rights as human beings.

“Food and rent need to be affordable” + boots on the ground got Mamdani elected in the US (though we’ve yet to see his policy implementation) so it’s worth a shot.

Start by not expecting everyone to read 600 page theory essays to “be a real leftist” and go from there.
