The context of that scene is that he does, in fact, think about him and just got done being a petty vindictive bitch.

So, yeah, about that dynamic which is why Reddit bans discussion about Lemmy.

I just want a version of Reddit where the average user a) is human and b) knows how to read, or a version of Lemmy where the average user a) isn’t a Leninist and b) knows how to read

I upvoted your comment solely for “a) is human”

I don’t know what you mean after that. I’m pretty sure reddit & lemmy attract people who enjoy reading. And Leninists? What are you talking about?

Sadly, but you have described an issue solvable only by time or interdementional travel. And we don’t have both. 🙁

You didn’t enjoy the challenge of going through 30 pages trying to follow a "replied to " conversation mixed in with 6 other “replied to” conversations? 😅.

The difference is that Lemmy is a social platform and Reddit is a advertisement delivery platform, by which it has joined the ranks of other so called top-tier “Social Platforms” like xitter, facebook and instagram.

I’d actually argue they do. Look at how often posts and comments mentioning Lemmy get removed. If they didn’t care about them, they’d leave them up like they didn’t matter.

People here desperately need to feel important so they invent a persecution complex.

The reality is most reddit users wouldn’t make the jump because they actually like the slop and forced consensus propaganda.

It’s really only the oldheads who make the jump to Lemmy because it’s more like reddit when they first became a user.

It heavily depends on circumstances like when, where, by whom and how was Lemmy mentioned. In some small unpopular communities it has very low chances to be removed. But, if it mentioned in big ones, then it has higher chances to be eliminated. Also, it seems that for now AI can normally process only text data, so mentioning it in a caption will not trigger Reddit AI moderation.

Accurate, don’t forget that Donald Draper is actually a miserable SOB who is not who he’s pretending to be

I don’t miss it. I clicked today on a reddit search result after a long while and ended up on an AI generated search thing that was trying to be helpful. Noped the hell out.

I think the main cause is the time aspect. Like the lemming above, I’m missing the old Reddit. The bottom half of the picture is the (somewhat) new reddit. But yeah, I’m aware it hasn’t changed overnight only 1-2 years ago.
